    Hello Allison,

Whole grain breads are nutrient dense and contain fiber. In general, they should be chosen more often than white bread to gain the fiber benefit.

Looking at food labels and food ingredients there are a few other readily available brands that I found to have whole wheat flour as the first ingredient: Bakers Inn Bread 100% Whole Wheat, Miltons Whole Grain 100% Whole Wheat, Sara Lee Heart Healthy Plus 100% Multigrain, and Sara Lee Heart Healthy Plus 100% Whole Wheat.

I am a Canadian member of this group and want to address the issue of nueropathy. I also have symptoms that I dont quit understand even when my blood sugar levels are normal the symptoms remain on a daily basis.

Does anyone have a good resource for info on this topic as I need to know more about it as well. Sometimes I think I cant deal for one more minute with the hot burning feeling in my legs and stuffed up head.

Thanks so much for any help this group can give me.

    Subject: Pre-Diabetes Neuropathy (response 2)

I am pre-diabetic. My neuropathy started many years ago when I was Hypoglycemic. Now being pre-diabetic the symptoms are worse and am on prescribed meds for it.

The symptoms of neuropathy never leave you. You can take a prescription medicine to relieve the burning pain. You really need to go into your doctor and discuss your symptoms.

Has anyone else on here had or known someone to have neuropathic symptoms with prediabetes?

Subject: Blood sugar instability and doctor problems

My blood sugar is always 200 or above. I am stressed out very often with family, job and school. My doctor seems nonchalant about my care and I am searching for a new doctor. On my last visit he wrote my prescription for a lower dosage than the one I was already taking. I am concerned that my high number may be causing permanent damage to my organs.

Does anyone else suffer from elevated blood sugar levels due to stress?
